From the ground, up.
Wild & Cultivated is a land-based educational program for children, designed to foster a deep connection to the earth through three intentional pillars: The Wild, The Cultivated, and The Sensory.

The Wild
Unstructured exploration in the untamed corners of the land. Here, children develop risk-assessment skills, resilience, and a sense of wonder as they navigate the natural word on its own terms.

The Cultivated
The art of stewardship. Through hands-on gardening and animal care, children learn the rhythm of the seasons and the patience required to nourish life from seed to table.

The Sensory
Engaging the soul through the five senses. From the smell of damp earth, to the texture of a warm egg, we cultivate mindfulness and a quiet, deep-rooted appreciation for the beauty of the present moment.

Becky Puckett: Cultivating Curiosity
Becky doesn’t just teach children how to garden; she teaches them how to observe. With a deep-rooted belief that the best lessons aren’t found in a book, but in the dirt, Becky founded Wild & Cultivated to give children something the modern world often misses: a sensory connection to the earth.
If you find Becky out in the fields at Puckett Acres, you likely won’t hear her lecturing. Instead, you’ll hear her asking questions: “What do you see? What do you feel?” As a mentor and facilitator, Becky’s gift lies in her ability to balance the Wild with the Cultivated. For Becky, success isn’t just a successful harvest; it’s the look of wonder on a child’s face when they realize they are part of the story of the land.
